Figurative paintings and drawings that explore identity, resilience, and the unseen layers that shape who we are.
I was born in the United States and raised between Brazil, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Benin. Growing up across cultures immersed me in rich color, human connection, and interwoven histories that continue to shape how I see the world and approach my work.
After returning to the U.S., I studied Cultural Anthropology, Studio Art, and Education. The children and adolescents I’ve taught have been some of my greatest teachers, reminding me to be playful, curious, and present.
I begin each piece intuitively with the background, allowing the energy to emerge before the figure takes form.
It’s an invitation to look deeper—to see that while we are shaped by culture, history, race, and experience, we are also vast, resilient, and luminous far beyond what meets the eye.
